Dee Alene Alexander was simply a treasure to all that knew her. She made everyone she met feel special and loved. Alene passed away on April 15, 2022 at the amazing age of 101. She lived a full life filled with enormous love for her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

 

At the age of 16, Alene left Wapanucka, OK to attend college where she met, fell in love with, and married Paul Alexander. They had two children, Paula and Randy. In addition to creating a life and family with Paul, she was also beginning her career in education. Her teaching career spanned from a one-room schoolhouse in Wagoner, OK to several schools in the Midwest City Public School District. She touched the lives of countless students throughout her many years.

 

Alene loved quilting, china painting and gardening. She loved sharing her hobbies and teaching others to enjoy them even more. She shared her passions through quilting groups, garden clubs, classes, etc.

 

Alene is survived by her daughter, Paula Kay Jackson McLemore and her husband Kenny, and son, Randal Lynn Alexander and his wife Christine. She is also survived by her grandchildren, in addition to great-grandchildren and great, great-grandchildren.

 

There will be a celebration of her life on Friday, April 22, 2022 at 2:00pm at Midwest City First Baptist Church.
