The China Painter Magazine had the wrong President's Message in the April, May, June 2024 issue. Below is an update and schedule of events for April 23, 2024 at the Annual Meeting.
Oklahoma WOCP is excited for your to discover the Glamour of the “ROARING TWENTIES” at the Oklahoma World Organization of China Painters Inc Annual Board Meeting, day with many special events, Luncheon, 2024-2025 First Quarterly Board meeting, etc. on April 23, 2024, at the Glenpool Conference Center, 12205 South Yukon Ave, Glenpool, OK (a suburb of Tulsa).
The Oklahoma Clubs will display artistic pieces for judging for the Museum selection. PLease encourage your members to participate. The club table cost is $10.00 and two clubs may share a table. Each Club will drape and decorate the Club table. CONTEST for Club Table décor portraying the theme “Roaring Twenties” will win a FREE club table.
The Days’ events and Lunch cost is $35.00 payable to OK WOCP due now. Mail checks payable to Treasurer, Sharan Amend at 4213 NW 146th Terrace, Oklahoma City, OK 73134. Call Susan Owen should you still need to make a meal reservation.
Oil Capital China Painters Club will display tables of donated ESTATE PORCELAIN FOR SALE sharing income with OK WOCP INC. OK WOCP will also have a sale table of porcelain that was purchased for seminars that did not take place.
A CONTEST for the best designed “ROARING 20’S FACE PIN” is happening and you could win a great prize for the “Best Painted and Embellished Face Pin” depicting The Roaring Twenties. Good luck!
Support OK WOCP and plan to attend the day of events. The dress for the day is your favorite "Roaring Twenties" outfit or headpiece.
2024-2025 Incoming Officers’ installation will be at the April 23rd Annual meeting with the following: President: Emmelen Allen, Vice President: Jeralee McNeal, President Elect: open, Corporate Secretary: Lois Higgins, Treasurer: Sharan Amend, Historian: Susan Owen, Webmaster: Sarah Gomez; Parliamentarian: Fillis Jackson. Have your camera's ready to take pictures of this special ceremony.

From the President
Great News! We have confirmed a location for the 2023 convention. It will be held on the beautiful campus of University of Northwestern in St. Paul, Minnesota. The have excellent facilities and we are looking forward to working with them.
Information about the university and the campus may be found on their website – UNWSP.EDU.
The room rate is $100/night (up to 3 people in a room). The hospitality package will be $110 and includes 2 banquets, a reception and so much more! the registration form is in this newsletter.
Are you interested in being a vendor? We will have a wonderful vendor floor.
If you use Facebook, please join the WOCP Convention Minnesota 2023 group to receive regular updates and other important information. We will also be sending out regular newsletter updates. The long lead time for the magazine makes it is more difficult to share timely information, but we will do our best.
